The Provincial Government is encouraging emergency management partners and organizations to submit a nomination for the Emergency Management Exemplary Service Awards. Nomination information can be found online at www.gov.nl.ca/fes/emo/awards.html.
The Emergency Management Exemplary Service Awards were launched in the fall of 2017 to recognize people who have distinguished themselves through exemplary service and contributions to their respective fields. The awards are delivered collaboratively by Public Safety Canada and the provincial and territorial governments.
The Emergency Management Exemplary Service Awards are granted to groups or individuals in five categories, all intended to recognize excellence in aspects of emergency management. These five categories are
- Resilient Communities;
- Search and Rescue Volunteers;
- Search and Rescue Employees;
- Youth; and
- Outstanding Contribution to Emergency Management
The deadline for nominations has been extended to August 30, 2019.
Quote
