Provincial Government Issues Tender for Demolition of Former Virginia Park Elementary

A tender has been issued for the demolition of the former Virginia Park Elementary School in St. John's. The tender is for the demolition of the building structure of the old school and a tender for the new parking lot and landscaping will be issued in 2018.

The new East Point School in Virginia Park opened earlier this year for Grades K-6 on the same property. The new school contains 17 classrooms, a gymnasium and stage, a library resource centre, music room, lunch/multi-purpose room, commercial kitchen and a family resource centre, among other spaces.
