The Clock is Ticking on Child and Youth Advocate’s Video Contest

  • Office of the Child and Youth Advocate

January 7, 2020

The Office of the Child and Youth Advocate is committed to supporting young people to learn about their rights. On National Child Day (November 20, 2019), the Office launched its first ever video contest. The contest invites young people in the province to get creative and develop a video on young people’s right to be free from discrimination. This right is contained in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Videos can address discrimination overall, or identify specific forms of discrimination.

Any young person under the age of 21 can enter either individually or as part of a group. There will be a prize for the winner(s).

Videos should be a maximum of two minutes in length and will be judged on creativity, originality, and the clarity of your message on this topic.

The deadline is January 31, 2020.

We look forward to seeing the creativity!
