Beginning tomorrow (Saturday, August 10) regular traffic flow will resume on Veterans Memorial Highway and motorists will no longer be required to detour around highway construction work.

Work to complete paving and highway shoulders and install guiderails and signs will continue throughout the rest of August.

Due to heavy equipment working in the highway, motorists are advised to:

• watch for flagpersons directing traffic,
• pay attention to highway construction signs,
• follow posted speed limits at all times, and
• use alternate routes for the safety of everyone working or driving on the highway.

Detours may be re-established if speeding and dangerous driving behaviour poses a safety risk to workers.
