Public Advisory: Update Provided on Repairs to Trans-Labrador Highway

Motorists in Labrador are advised that repairs to the washed out section of the Trans-Labrador Highway are underway.

Crews are working to reopen the highway as quickly as possible. Repairs are anticipated to take several days.

Travellers who require updates or assistance can contact the Department of Transportation and Works Labrador dispatch office at 709-896-7840 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The department is providing helicopter service beginning tomorrow for stranded travellers. Freight has also been arranged to be transported by Labrador Marine.

Updates will be provided when available.
