The closure of the highway is necessary to ensure a controlled, safe environment for all participants.

Motorists are advised to watch for electronic signs being placed along the route to give advanced notice of the closure.

Individuals or groups who wish to volunteer for the clean-up must register with Clean St. John’s at www.eventbrite.ca/e/outer-ring-road-clean-up-tickets-63032887062 external link icon. Children 15 and under must have adult supervision.

Transportation to the Outer Ring Road will be provided by Metrobus from Confederation Building, West Block. Volunteers are reminded to make safety a priority and wear long-sleeved shirts, pants and closed-toe footwear that are appropriate for weather and working outside.
