The Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, will tour Polyamyna Nanotech’s laboratory space tomorrow (Wednesday, February 20). The tour takes place at the Mount Scio campus of Marine Institute, St. John’s, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Polyamyna Nanotech Inc., which is an early stage company, was founded by Dr. Ramesh Mani and Dr. Bala Gorityala, and is located at the Emera Innovation Exchange, with laboratory space at the Marine Institute. Dr. Mani and Dr. Gorityala are working on developing next-generation antimicrobial technologies to prevent infections caused by deadly pathogens, and strive to address the potential of global antimicrobial resistance.
