The Honourable Sherry Gambin-Walsh, Minister of Service NL, will bring greetings at the opening ceremonies of the International Association of Fire Fighters’ (IAFF) Canadian Policy Conference. The opening ceremonies take place on Monday, August 5 at the Delta Hotel, 120 New Gower Street, St. John’s, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The IAFF represents more than 317,000 full-time professional fire fighters and paramedics that protect more than 85 percent of the population in communities throughout Canada and the United States. From August 3-7, over 150 people will attend the conference to meet and deliberate on important issues related to Canada’s 26,000 IAFF members and the communities they serve.
