The Provincial Government has appointed Lana Collins and Anne Fagan as public representatives to the WorkplaceNL Board of Directors. The appointments were made through the merit-based appointment process established by the Independent Appointments Commission Act and are effective immediately.
The appointments of Ms. Collins and Ms. Fagan are for a three-year term. Their biographies are provided in the backgrounder below.
Serving approximately 13,000 injured workers and 19,000 employers, WorkplaceNL administers an employer-funded, no-fault insurance system that promotes safe and healthy workplaces, provides return-to-work programs and offers fair compensation to injured workers and their dependents.

Biographical Information
Lana Collins
Lana Collins, a graduate of Memorial University, has over 20 years of experience as a communications director and advisor with a number of organizations, including the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Region, and WorkplaceNL. She has also received her Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) and Master Communicator (MC) designations from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
Anne Fagan
Anne Fagan is a graduate of Memorial University with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters of Business Administration. She has held a number of positions in the field of human resources internationally with organizations such as the Canadian Broadcasting Company, The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar, and the health care system. Ms. Fagan is currently the owner and principal consultant with Fagan Consulting.
