The Honourable Derrick Bragg, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

958 Topsail Road Cabinet Door Milling & Spray Paint Booth       (Reg. 2063)
Proponent: Royal Wood Design Limited

The proponent proposes to operate a cabinet door milling and spray paint booth at 958 Topsail Road in the City of Mount Pearl. The existing single story building (approximately 200 square metres total) will be modified to include the following: a spray paint booth, cabinet door milling and storage area, client showroom, and office administration area.

The undertaking was registered on December 16, 2019; the deadline for public comments is January 23, 2020; and the minister’s decision is due by January 30, 2020.

ENVIRONMENTAL PREVIEW REPORT GUIDELINES ISSUED:

Come By Chance Refinery Efficiency and Flexibility Project       (Reg.2042)
Proponent: NARL Fuels LP 

The minister has approved the final guidelines for the preparation of the environmental preview report (EPR) for the Come By Chance Refinery Efficiency and Flexibility Project. The EPR guidelines identify the information that the proponent will be required to include in the EPR. The EPR guidelines document is available on the Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment website at:
