The Honourable Derrick Bragg, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

Mount Pearl Phase Separation of Spent Drilling Mud Fluids        (Reg. 2061)
Proponent: Pardy’s Waste Management and Industrial Services Ltd.

The proponent has submitted a proposal to phase separate spent drill muds into water, oil and solids for the purpose of hydrocarbon recovery and reuse, and waste management of water and solids. The proponent intends to use their existing infrastructure, equipment and personnel at 30 Kyle Avenue, Mount Pearl for this undertaking.

The undertaking was registered on November 22, 2019; the deadline for public comments is January 2, 2020; and the minister’s decision is due by January 6, 2020.
