UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

Donny’s Pond Quarry Near Holyrood                                                  (Reg. 2050)
Proponent: Black Ridge Construction Ltd.

The proponent proposes to construct and operate a four hectare sand, gravel and rock quarry adjacent to other nearly depleted quarries east of the Holyrood Access Road, approximately 3.3 kilometres from the Trans-Canada Highway and 5.4 kilometres from the Town of Holyrood. Construction of the quarry will include clearing vegetation and organic matter. Operation will involve pit run removal, stockpiling sand and gravel, drilling and blasting. Screening, crushing and washing of quarry material will take place at existing adjacent quarries operated by the proponent.

The undertaking was registered on September 9, 2019; the deadline for public comments is October 23, 2019; and the minister’s decision is due by October 24, 2019.
