The Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:

Kenmount Road Cannabis Production Facility (Reg. 2036)
Proponent: Atlantic Cultivation Ltd.

The proponent proposes to develop and operate a licensed cannabis production facility located in Kenmount Crossing Industrial Park, 736-760 Kenmount Road, St. John’s. The facility will include the construction of a 10,200 square metre two-story structure. The cultivation area will contain 31 grow rooms and associated processing rooms.

The undertaking was registered on July 11, 2019; the deadline for public comments is August 16, 2019; and the minister’s decision is due by August 25, 2019.

Come By Chance Refinery Delayed Coker Project (Reg. 2037)
Proponent: NARL Fuels LP

The proponent proposes the construction and operation of a delayed coker complex equipped with a small integrated crude oil fractionation unit, a distillate hydrotreater, and assorted utilities in Come by Chance, northwest of the existing refinery. The petroleum facility will consist of a 26,000 barrel per day delayed coker, equipped with a 40,000 barrel per day fractionation unit and a 17,000 barrel per day distillate hydrotreater.

The undertaking was registered on July 11, 2019; the deadline for public comments is August 16, 2019; and the minister’s decision is due by August 25, 2019.
