The Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

UNDERTAKINGS RELEASED:

Deer Lake Microbrewery (Reg. 2003)
Proponent: Rough Waters Brewing Company Ltd.

Cottage on the Upper Humber-North Branch River Junction (Reg. 2007)
Proponent: Michael Gorman

The project is released subject to the following condition:

  • The proponent must maintain a minimum 30-metre naturally-vegetated buffer along all waterbodies and wetlands to protect sensitive riparian and aquatic species, and their habitat

West Bottom Brook Bridge Replacement (Reg. 2012)
Proponent: Department of Transportation and Works

Indian River RV Park (Reg. 2013)
Proponent: JSR Holdings Inc.

The project is released subject to the following conditions:

  • For all proposed new development, a minimum 50-metre naturally-vegetated buffer, which includes trees, is to be maintained along Indian River, which is a scheduled salmon river;
  • A minimum 30-metre naturally-vegetated buffer is to be maintained along all other waterbodies and wetlands to protect sensitive riparian and aquatic species, and their habitat.
