The House of Assembly Government Services Committee wishes to advise it will be conducting public hearings and is inviting public submissions related to its review of the draft Bill, Real Estate Trading Act, 2019. The draft Bill was referred to the Committee for review under Standing Order 79. Its findings and any recommendations must be reported to the House of Assembly in the Fall 2019 sitting.
On Tuesday, September 17 at 9:00 am, the Committee will hear submissions from officials of the Department of Service NL and the Newfoundland and Labrador Realtors Association. At 1:30 pm, the Committee will hear in-person submissions from the public (up to 15 minutes each). Those wishing to present must pre-register at HOAGovServicesComm@gov.nl.ca by 4:30 pm on Thursday, September 12. All hearings will take place in the House of Assembly Chamber and may be observed by the media and the public.
The Committee is also accepting written submissions from the public at HOAGovServicesComm@gov.nl.ca until Thursday, September 12.
