The Provincial Government has appointed Scott Tessier to the Eastern Health Regional Health Authority Board of Trustees. Effective October 18, 2019, Mr. Tessier has been appointed for a three-year term.
This appointment was recommended by the Independent Appointments Commission, which is an independent body established by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to provide merit-based recommendations for appointments.

Eastern Health is the province’s largest health authority, providing services to a population of more than 300,000 people. The region extends west from St. John’s to Port Blandford, and includes all communities on the Avalon, Burin and Bonavista peninsulas.

Scott Tessier
Scott Tessier is the Chief Executive Officer of the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board. He has served in senior roles with the Government of Canada, and currently sits on the Board of the Marine Environmental Observation, Prediction and Response network (MEOPAR). Mr. Tessier also holds an Engineering degree from Memorial University.
