Media Advisory: Minister Haggie Speaking at National Mental Health and Addictions Workshop

The Honourable John Haggie, Minister of Health and Community Services, will speak at the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction ‘Stigma Ends With Me’ workshop tomorrow (Wednesday, September 25). The event will take place in Salon A and B at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland, 115 Cavendish Square, St. John’s, at 8:30 a.m.

The ‘Stigma Ends With Me’ workshop brings together people with lived experience, health care professionals, Indigenous communities, academics, members of government, treatment providers, and community partners in harm reduction. The objective of the workshop is to create connections and build partnerships among participants to continue to expand effective actions to confront and end stigma around mental health and addictions in Newfoundland and Labrador and across Canada.
