Media Advisory: Minister Haggie and Parliamentary Secretary Stoodley to Participate in Polka Dot Trot Events

The Honourable John Haggie, Minister of Health and Community Services, and Sarah Stoodley, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, will participate in the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation’s Polka Dot Trot in Appleton and St. John’s respectively on Sunday, September 22.

Parliamentary Secretary Stoodley will speak at the Newfoundland and Labrador Sports Centre, 90 Crosbie Road in St. John’s at 9:00 a.m.

Minister Haggie will speak at the Appleton Town Hall, 62 Bowater Road, Appleton at 10:00 a.m.

The Polka Dot Trot is the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation’s signature event designed to support and connect those affected by all forms of cancer. It brings together patients, survivors, families, friends and health care professionals of all ages and abilities. Participants can choose to walk in the colour of the cancer that matters to them.
