Provincial Government to Re-Introduce Budget 2019 Today in the House of Assembly

The Honourable Tom Osborne, Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board, will re-introduce Budget 2019: Working Towards a Brighter Future, today in the House of Assembly.

Budget 2019 reflects the priorities of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians as it is focused on long-term financial sustainability, improving access to government services, and helping to create jobs and encourage economic growth. Budget documents can be accessed at www.gov.nl.ca/budget2019.

In addition to the Budget, on Wednesday, June 12, government will introduce an Interim Supply Bill to ensure that government departments and entities have sufficient funds to manage their operations while comprehensive Budget and Supply debates are ongoing.

Minister Osborne will be available to media to discuss the re-introduction of the Budget today at 1:00 p.m. in front of the House of Assembly, East Block, Confederation Building.
