The Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources, will provide an update on construction of customized office space for Department of Fisheries and Land Resources staff in Corner Brook tomorrow (Friday, March 29).

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Wheeler’s Road and Mattie Mitchell Avenue, near the future site of the new Western Memorial Regional Hospital Campus. As the site is an active construction zone, media are required to wear appropriate footwear.

Expected to open in June 2019, the new 30,000-square foot facility is being constructed by Marine Contractors through a 20-year agreement that will save taxpayers approximately $560,000 annually.
