March 25, 2019

The Department of Fisheries and Land Resources will hold public consultation sessions to prepare a new five-year operating plan for Forest Management District 20 on the south coast of Labrador. The intent of the sessions is to obtain feedback on proposed forestry activity.

Two sessions will be held March 27 at the Cartwright Forest Management District office from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The meetings provide the opportunity for participants to review the draft forest management plan and give input on the potential environmental effects of proposed forestry activities on the social, economic and recreational conditions associated with the forest resource.
