The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, will be in Gander this week for the Newfoundland and Labrador 50+ Federation’s 44th Annual Convention. The convention is being held at the Quality Hotel and Suites, 100 Trans Canada Highway, Gander.
Minister Dempster will deliver the keynote address on Wednesday, September 11, beginning at 10:15 a.m.
Premier Ball will address delegates during the banquet, taking place on Thursday, September 12, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The Newfoundland and Labrador 50+ Federation Inc. is an umbrella organization that represents 130 clubs and approximately 6,900 members throughout the province. The 50+ Federation’s mission is to link member clubs and disseminate information pertinent to quality of life for the older persons of Newfoundland and Labrador.
