The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, is inviting the general public to the lobby of East Block, Confederation Building on Monday (June 10) to meet players from the ECHL champion Newfoundland Growlers and for an opportunity to have their photo taken with the Kelly Cup. The event will begin at 3:30 p.m. and parking will be available in the front of the building.

In addition to team players and officials, Premier Ball will be joined by the Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development.

On June 4, 2019 the Newfoundland Growlers, in their inaugural season, became the province’s first professional hockey team to win a championship when they defeated the Toledo Walleye in the ECHL’s best-of-seven final series.
