Voter Information Cards in the Mail for the 2019 Provincial Election

Elections NL is issuing Voter Information Cards this week to every elector registered on the provincial voters list.

The cards contain important voting details, including:

  • Advance Poll and Election Day voting locations
  • Special Ballot voting deadlines
  • Contact information and office hours for Elections NL and the district Returning Offices

If an elector does not receive a Voter Information Card in the mail, it may indicate that they are not on the voters list for the upcoming election. Elections NL encourages all eligible electors to confirm or update their registration, or to add themselves to the voters list prior to the Advance Polls and Election Day. Electors can be added to the voters list until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9.

Those who are not on the voters list on Advance Poll day or Election Day can still vote, but will have to produce appropriate identification (that shows the elector’s name and current address) and complete an oath at the polls.

For more information, please contact Elections NL toll-free at 1-877-729-7987 or visit www.elections.gov.nl.ca.
