Elections Newfoundland and Labrador wishes to advise all potential candidates for the 2019 General Election that the deadline for filing nomination papers is 2:00 p.m. this Thursday, April 25, 2019 (1:30 p.m. in most of Labrador).

Nomination papers, along with a $200 deposit, must be filed with the Returning Officer for the district in which the candidate intends to run. This process is completely separate from the political party nomination process and all candidates are required to file.
