The preliminary results from today’s by-election in Topsail – Paradise are as follows:

There were 37 regular polls, five advance polls and one Special Ballot poll in the by-election and 10,313 registered voters on the final revised list of electors. In the 2015 Provincial General Election, a total of 5799 votes were cast in the Topsail – Paradise district.
The Official Addition of the Votes, a procedure whereby the voting tallies from by-election night are reviewed, will take place at the district Returning Office beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 27. After the Official Addition has concluded, the by-election results will be considered official and a candidate will be declared elected.
