January 3, 2019

Elections Newfoundland and Labrador is seeking qualified individuals to work at the polls in the Topsail – Paradise by-election. Workers are needed for the advance polls on January 17 and 19, and for by-election day on January 24.

In order to work in the polls, an individual must be:

  • 18 years of age or older;
  • a Canadian citizen; and
  • a Newfoundland and Labrador resident the day before voting takes place.

Typically, preference is given to election workers who reside in the district where the election is taking place. However, in this case all interested individuals are encouraged to apply, regardless of district residency, as a number of positions remain vacant.

Applications may be emailed to topsailparadisedst@gov.nl.ca. Applications will also be accepted in person at the Topsail – Paradise Returning Office (1429-E Topsail Road, Paradise) and Elections Newfoundland and Labrador’s headquarters (39 Hallett Crescent, St. John’s).

For more information, please call the Topsail – Paradise Returning Office at 781-7807 or visit the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador website (www.elections.gov.nl.ca).
