Team Newfoundland and Labrador Wins Second Medal at the 2019 Canada Winter Games

Emma Mullett from St. John’s has won a bronze medal at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in female judo. This is the second medal for Team Newfoundland and Labrador so far at these Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta.

Ms. Mullett has been practicing judo for 10 years with the Fudoshin Judo Club. In 2018, she captured a bronze medal at the National Championships, a silver medal at the Eastern Canadian Championships and two silver medals at the Atlantic Championships.

Ms. Mullett competed for the bronze medal against her teammate from Newfoundland and Labrador, Natalie Freake of Gander.

The 2019 Canada Winter Games are being held from February 15 to March 3.
