Media Advisory: Minister Dempster to Issue Call for Age-Friendly Newfoundland and Labrador Community Grant Applications

The Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, will issue a call for Age-Friendly Newfoundland and Labrador Community Grant applications tomorrow (Wednesday, February 6). The event will take place at the Grand Falls-Windsor Town Hall, 5 High Street, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Minister Dempster will be joined by the Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development and MHA for Grand Falls-Windsor – Buchans, and Derek Bennett, Parliamentary Secretary for Children, Seniors and Social Development.

The Age-Friendly Newfoundland and Labrador Community Grant Program offers funding to incorporated municipalities, Indigenous governments and communities throughout the province to support them in planning for an aging population.
