Provincial Government Announces Appointments to Labour Relations Board

The Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, today announced the appointment of Ms. Raelene Lee and the reappointment of Mr. Larry Pittman (employer representatives, alternate members) to the Labour Relations Board. Mr. Pittman’s appointment is effective on November 3, 2019. Both appointments are for a two-year term.

The Labour Relations Board is an independent, quasi-judicial body which contributes to and promotes harmonious labour relations in Newfoundland and Labrador by adjudicating and mediating a variety of employment and labour relations matters.

These appointments were recommended though the merit-based Independent Appointments Commission. Members of the public interested in opportunities to serve on provincial agencies, boards and commissions are encouraged to complete an application at www.iacnl.ca .

Appointments to the Labour Relations Board

Raelene Lee
Ms. Raelene Lee has experience in human resources, governance, policy and planning, as well as the legal and health sectors. She is currently the Director, Legal Counsel Medical Services, with Eastern Health. Ms. Lee studied commerce at Memorial University of Newfoundland and law at the University of Ottawa.

Larry Pittman
Larry Pittman has experience in governance, the skilled trades, transportation services, construction, and policy and planning. He is the President and founder of BlueSky Business Consulting. Mr. Pittman studied political science at Memorial University of Newfoundland and human resources at the Rotman School of Business.
