Alternate Member Appointed to Income and Employment Support Appeal Board

The Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, today announced the appointment of an alternate member to the Income and Employment Support Appeal Board.

Michelle Wall has been appointed for a three-year term. A resident of Conception Bay South, Ms. Wall has considerable experience working with community centres in partnership with the Community Centre Alliance, where she is presently employed as a community employment facilitator. Her education is in office administration and occupational health and safety.

The Income and Employment Support Appeal Board hears appeals from applicants or recipients regarding decisions made under the Income and Employment Support Act, as well as section 40 of the Pharmaceutical Services Act, and section 4.2 of the Health and Community Services Act.

As a Tier Two entity, the appointment of board members is administered through the Public Service Commission.
