Minister Davis Appoints College of North Atlantic Student Representative to Council on Higher Education

The Honourable Bernard Davis, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, today announced the appointment of Andrew G. Haire as the College of the North Atlantic student representative on the Council on Higher Education.

Andrew G. Haire was nominated by the College of the North Atlantic Student Union and is appointed for a two-year term. Biographical information is provided in the backgrounder below.

Members of the council are the Chair of Memorial University’s Board of Regents, President of Memorial University, Chair of College of the North Atlantic’s Board of Governors, President of College of the North Atlantic, and the Minister and Deputy Minister of the Department of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour. Members also include student representatives from the province’s public post-secondary institutions.

Andrew G. Haire
Andrew G. Haire is currently a student of College of the North Atlantic, enrolled in the Business Administration program. Mr. Haire has two years of experience on the CNA Student Representative Council and also served as the Eastern Representative on the Canadian Federation of Students for 2018-19.
