Motorists are advised that beginning 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, October 26), a temporary detour will be in place on Route 2, Peacekeepers Way.

There will be no access to Route 2 between Minerals Road and the Manuels Access Road while the detour is in place. Motorists will be diverted around the closure via Route 60, Conception Bay Highway.

The detour will be in place for most of the day while crews work to remove fallen rock debris from a roadside ditch. Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and plan an alternate route. The detour is expected to be removed before the evening rush hour.

Local emergency responders in the region have been advised of the temporary detour. Motorists are reminded to pay attention to the posted speed limits along the detour and drive cautiously.
