The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to seek proponents to provide mobile communication technology services for provincial departments, agencies, boards and commissions at more competitive rates.

This RFP is one of two planned as part of the Provincial Government’s efforts to achieve a more efficient, cost-effective model for information and communication technology services.

The scope of the RFP requires providers to deliver services that meet the Provincial Government’s existing capacity and performance needs for cellular services in accordance with industry best practices for quality and customer service.

Proposals will be evaluated based on best overall value while meeting the comprehensive mobility service needs of:

  • Core provincial departments;
  • House of Assembly;
  • All four regional health authorities;
  • Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information;
  • Newfoundland and Labrador English School District;
  • Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation;
  • Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation;
  • Multi-Materials Stewardship Board;
  • Workplace NL; and
  • A. Pippy Park Commission.

To register to receive an RFP package, vendors can contact the Tendering and Contracts Division at 709-729-3786. Proposals will be accepted until August 15, 2018.

Initiatives such as this deliver on commitments in The Way Forward to operate a more efficient public sector.
