The Placentia Lift Bridge has been temporarily closed to all vehicle and marine traffic due to mechanical issues today (Monday, April 30).

As the bridge is currently stopped in the raised position, motorists are advised to take alternate routes.

Crews are mobilizing to the site to make repairs.

Updates will be provided as the work progresses and a timeline for the repairs is determined.

The Department of Transportation and Works apologizes for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
