The public is advised that repairs to the MV Veteran’s port thruster are now anticipated to be completed in February.

The vessel, which has been out of service since October, was originally expected to return to service in January.

The new timeline is due to delays in the shipment of replacement parts from the manufacturer, Rolls Royce.

Until repairs to the Veteran are completed, the MV Legionnaire will continue to service Fogo Island – Change Islands – Farewell, while the MV Flanders and MV Beaumont Hamel service Bell Island.

Residents are advised to visit the Provincial Government’s Marine Services Status Board at www.tw.gov.nl.ca/ferryservices or call 1-833-NLFERRY (653-3779) or 709-729-3835 for daily ferry updates.

The Department of Transportation and Works apologizes for any inconvenience this disruption to service may cause.
