Provincial Government Now Accepting Nominations for the 2018 Tourism Achievement Award

The Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation is seeking nominations for the 2018 Tourism Achievement Award. The award is presented to an outstanding group or individual for their long-time achievement and dedication to the tourism industry. The deadline for nominations is November 30.

The Tourism Achievement Award recognizes the significant and long-term vision, leadership, innovation, vitality, and contribution to the growth of the tourism industry in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Nominees for the Tourism Achievement Award should have:

  • Helped to generate growth in Newfoundland and Labrador’s tourism sector through innovation, wise business practices and the development of new opportunities;
  • Dedicated a significant portion of their career to the tourism sector;
  • Made a substantial personal contribution to the tourism sector;
  • Demonstrated leadership in the industry through their engagement with tourism partners at the local, provincial and/or national levels; and,
  • Left a positive and lasting legacy with the people with whom they have worked.

The award is presented annually at the Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador Convention in February 2019.
