Media Advisory: Minister Mitchelmore to Bring Greetings at Opening Ceremonies of ROV Competition

The Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, will bring greetings to the Marine Advanced Technology Education Centre’s Remotely Operated Vehicle (MATE ROV) Regional Competition opening ceremony tomorrow (Friday, May 4). The event takes place at the Marine Institute Gymnasium, 155 Ridge Road, St. John’s, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The MATE ROV competition challenges students to apply physics, math, electronics, and engineering skills they are learning in the classroom to solving problems from the marine workplace.
