The Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, will speak at the opening reception for the Art Gallery Winter 2018 exhibitions at The Rooms tomorrow, (Friday, February 9). The free public opening reception begins at 7:30 p.m.

The reception will highlight four new exhibitions including Photography in Canada: 1960 – 2000 organized by the Canadian Photography Institute of the National Gallery of Canada. This is the first time this exhibition has been shown outside of the National Gallery. The opening features exhibitions by local artists Hazel May Eckert and Rhonda Pelley, as well as a third exhibition by Canadian artist Aleesa Cohene, who now resides in Los Angeles.
