The Honourable Sherry Gambin-Walsh, Minister of Service NL, will attend the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Avalon Candlelight Vigil tonight (Thursday, November 29). The event is taking place at Wesley United Church, 101 Patrick Street, St. John’s, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving is committed to stopping impaired driving and supporting the victims and survivors of this violent crime. Each year, from November to January, MADD’s Project Red Ribbon campaign emphasizes the importance of always driving sober and honours the innocent victims of impaired driving.
