The Honourable Sherry Gambin-Walsh, Minister of Service NL, will announce road and passenger safety enhancements for the taxi industry tomorrow (Wednesday, May 16). The event will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the Vital Statistics Division boardroom located in the Motor Registration Division Building, 149 Smallwood Drive, Mount Pearl.

Minister Gambin-Walsh will be joined by Alan Doody, Registrar of Motor Vehicles and Derek Hayter of Newfound Cabs who will represent the taxi industry.

A technical briefing for media will begin at 9:00 a.m. The briefing will provide details of the policy amendments.
