The following is being distributed at the request of the Human Rights Commission of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Newfoundland and Labrador Human Rights Commission will present the annual Human Rights Award at a ceremony tomorrow (Thursday, December 6). The event begins at 3:15 p.m. with the award being presented at 3:30 p.m. at Government House in St. John’s.

The 2018 Human Rights Award recognizes an individual who has made and/or continues to make a meaningful contribution to advancing and furthering human rights in the province.
