Quotes
“We have heard the concerns of the people of Conception Bay South. This new detachment will ensure timely police response and will better serve the growing population in that area. The RNC plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of residents and public trust and community cooperation are crucial in effective law enforcement.”
Honourable Andrew Parsons
Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General

“Expanding our operations in Conception Bay South will allow us to enhance our police services in that entire region in a way that aligns with the RNC’s objectives to improve the health and safety of our communities through partnerships and stronger community relationships. Positioning ourselves in the heart of CBS will make us more be approachable, accessible and of service to everyone. This expansion represents a milestone for the RNC that will better serve the residents of CBS as well as better support our West District Operations in Paradise and Mount Pearl.”
Joe Boland
Chief, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary

“We are extremely proud and honoured to welcome the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary to their new West District Office in Conception Bay South. The business case for an increased police presence here is clear – we are the second largest municipality in the province and our population and business sector continue to grow. A local police detachment will complement the great work of our Municipal Enforcement and Fire Department teams, and together we will work to make Conception Bay South a safer community for all.”
Terry French
Mayor, Town of Conception Bay South
