Media Advisory: Minister Haggie to Speak at Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention Annual Conference

The Honourable John Haggie, Minister of Health and Community Services, will speak at the 2018 Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention Annual Conference ‘Signals of Hope’ in St. John’s tomorrow (Thursday, November 1). The event takes place at the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland, 115 Cavendish Square beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The 2018 Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention Annual Conference is a two-day event that will bring together multiple voices, learning from and sharing with one another, including researchers, front-line clinicians, survivors of suicide loss, survivors of suicide attempts and family and friends who have been affected by suicide. The conference will focus on informed-based best practices and research, and provide a forum for diverse perspectives on the current state of information and future directions in suicide prevention, intervention and postvention.
