Cynthia Davis has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of the Western Regional Health Authority.
Effective June 1, 2018, the appointment is for a five-year term. Ms. Davis has approximately 20 years of experience in healthcare including community nursing and working in large academic teaching facilities and university affiliated community hospitals. The Western Regional Health Authority provides a range of programs and services to a population of approximately 78,000 people in Western Newfoundland.

Biography
Cynthia Davis
Cynthia Davis is currently the Vice-President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer with Western Health. She has approximately 20 years of experience in healthcare including community nursing and working in large academic teaching facilities and university affiliated community hospitals in Ontario. Ms. Davis possesses expertise in transformational change, quality and safety, and clinical expertise. Ms. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) from Dalhousie University, and a Master of Science from the University of Toronto. She is also enrolled in the PhD Interdisciplinary Studies Program at the University of New Brunswick.
