Carol Anne Haley, Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Community Services, will participate in a flag raising ceremony and building lighting event to mark Eating Disorder Awareness Week tomorrow (Thursday, February 1).

Both events will take place at Confederation Building, East Block, St. John’s. The flag raising will take place at 9:00 a.m., and the building lighting will take place at 6:00 p.m.

Parliamentary Secretary Haley will be joined by Vince Withers, Chairperson, of the Eating Disorder Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Eating Disorder Awareness Week is recognized February 1-7. This year’s theme, One Size Doesn’t Fit All, emphasizes that eating disorders can affect all people, regardless of age, gender, ability, race and ethnic identity, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.
