Media Advisory: Minister Byrne to Tour Centre for Agriculture and Forestry Development and Announce Agriculture Funding in Central Newfoundland

The Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources, will lead a tour and discuss new and ongoing forestry and agriculture research trials at the Centre for Agriculture and Forestry Development in Wooddale tomorrow (Friday, October 26) at 9:30 a.m.

Minster Byrne will be joined by the Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour and MHA for Grand Falls-Windsor-Buchans, and Jerry Dean, MHA for Exploits, along with members of the Canadian Institute of Forestry – NL Section and the Association of Registered Professional Foresters of Newfoundland and Labrador on the tour of the facility, which has been re-profiled to focus on research and innovation in forestry and agriculture.

Following the tour, Minister Byrne will be at Exploits Meadow Farm in Bishop’s Falls at 11:30 a.m. to announce details of projects approved under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership.
