The Governments of Newfoundland and Labrador and Canada are teaming up to provide a $1.725 million investment to S&P Data, which will support the establishment of a 500 person in-bound contact centre in St. John’s. Over the next five years, it is expected that the S&P Data contact centre will generate up to $131 million in economic activity.

The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador joined company officials to make the announcement today.

The total cost of the company’s expansion to St. John’s is close to $3 million. The Provincial Government is providing a $975,000 repayable loan to assist with start-up costs, as well as a $250,000 contribution to fund training activities. ACOA is providing a repayable investment of $500,000 through its Business Development Program for the project.

S&P Data has signed a five-year lease to operate at the Village Shopping Centre. The company has a tenured client base, including many of the largest telecommunications companies in North America.

With the St. John’s location scheduled to open in November 2018, the company is presently recruiting employees. For information on recruitment, visit spdatallc.talentnest.com/en/jobs/state/5. external link icon
