Polls closed this evening (September 13) at 8:00 p.m. for the first day of Advance Poll voting in the Windsor Lake by-election. Votes were cast at four polls in two locations: Macdonald Drive Junior High School and Roncalli Elementary School. The preliminary total of votes cast is as follows:

A second day of Advance Voting will take place on Saturday, September 15 at the same locations as today. Polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
By-election day is Thursday, September 20. To find out where to vote, registered electors are encouraged to reference the green Voter Information Cards mailed out to them last week by Elections Newfoundland and Labrador.
Additionally, voting locations may be obtained by calling the district Returning Office at 576-4828, calling Elections Newfoundland and Labrador at 729-7987 or visiting the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador website: www.elections.gov.nl.ca.
