Election Workers Needed for Windsor Lake By-Election

  • Office of the Chief Electoral Officer

September 6, 2018

Elections Newfoundland and Labrador is in need of qualified individuals to work at the polls in the Windsor Lake by-election. Workers are needed for the advance polls on September 13 and 15, and for by-election day on September 20.

Applicants must meet certain qualifications in order to be considered for employment. An election worker must be:

  • 18 years of age or older;
  • a Canadian citizen; and
  • a Newfoundland and Labrador resident the day before voting takes place.

Typically, preference is given to election workers who reside in the district where the election is taking place. However, in this case all interested individuals are encouraged to apply, regardless of district residency, as a number of positions remain vacant.

Applications can be submitted online (www.elections.gov.nl.ca) and will also be accepted at the Windsor Lake Returning Office (25 Hebron Way) and Elections Newfoundland and Labrador’s head office (39 Hallett Crescent).

For more information, please call Elections Newfoundland and Labrador at 1-877-729-7987 (toll free) or the Windsor Lake Returning Office at 576-4828.
